Shidaanikei Publishers announce the publication of God’s Redemption Plan is Universal and Based on Faith (ISBN: 978-1-9992257-4-2) (2021) by Godwin Airuoyuwa, Engr. – God’s plan of redemption is universal; it is for all peoples, irrespective of beliefs. After Adam and Eve were deceived by Satan to sin against God, they were not only separated from God, their successive generations were also separated from him; and their rebellious corrupted nature would unfortunately become the inherited nature of mankind. This separation meant that God could no longer relate with his human race. The result is that man became so sinful and wicked that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time (Genesis 6:5). “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23), so the sinful is doomed to perish. But it is not God’s will that anyone should perish, but for all to have eternal life” (John 3:16). So he put in place a plan of redemption immediately after the fall, in order to reconcile all who will come to him (Genesis 3:15). His first test of this plan was when he destroyed the whole earth with flood because he was grieved and pained by the wickedness of man; only Noah and his family were saved because of Noah’s faith. God’s message then, is still his message today; only those who have faith in him will be saved, others will perish. Abraham was a man who had faith in God, and so was Moses;
God made a covenant with Abraham to bless his descendants, and through him, bless other peoples of the earth (Genesis 12:3). God also made a covenant with Moses in which the blood of animals temporarily atoned for the sins of the Israelites. This covenant was a prelude to the ultimate covenant God had with Jesus Christ – one that involved Jesus shedding his own blood on the cross to atone for the sin of all of mankind, in order that God’s redemption plan can be accomplished. This plan initiated after
the fall, involved Abraham, Moses, and ultimately Jesus, “the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world” (John 1:36). These names are common to Judaism, Christianity and Islam, the three major religions, whose goal is to reconcile their faithful to God. This reconciliation is possible only through faith in Jesus Christ, whose shed blood on the cross serves as the only atonement for the sin of all of mankind – “For without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness of sin” (Hebrews 9:22). And without
forgiveness, there is no reconciliation!
